About EasyRepairGuide
EasyRepairGuide is an independent educational website with plain-language troubleshooting guides for everyday computer, laptop, printer, Windows, Wi-Fi and device-connection problems.
Why the site exists
Most tech problems at home are fixable without special tools: a printer that dropped off the network, a laptop that won’t charge because of a loose connection, a computer slowed down by programs starting in the background. The fixes are often hidden in long manuals or forum threads written for experts. We write them up as clear, step-by-step guides for everyday users.
What we cover
The site focuses on practical IT, computer, laptop and printer help, organized into seven topics:
- Computer & Laptop: slow startups, power and charging problems, heat and fan noise.
- Printer Guides: setting up a new printer, connecting it to Wi-Fi and adding it to your computer.
- Printer Troubleshooting: printer offline, nothing printing, paper jams and faded or streaky pages.
- Windows & Software: stuck updates, full drives and programs that freeze.
- Wi-Fi & Networking: can’t connect, connected with no internet, and slow Wi-Fi.
- Drivers & Connectivity: printer drivers, USB devices and Bluetooth pairing.
- Scanning & Printing: scanning to your computer, stuck print jobs and scanner problems.
Every guide starts with a quick answer, lists what you need, walks through the fix in numbered steps (with separate Windows and Mac steps where they differ), and ends with what to try next and when to get professional help.
What we are not
EasyRepairGuide is not a repair company, service center or support line. Specifically, we:
- do not repair devices, offer remote support or take appointments;
- do not employ technicians or provide live help;
- are not affiliated with, authorized by or partnered with Microsoft, Apple or any computer, printer or router manufacturer;
- do not sell software, drivers or products.
When a problem needs hands-on help, our guides point you to your device manufacturer’s official support or a qualified technician of your choice.
How the guides are made
Guides are written and reviewed by the EasyRepairGuide Editorial Team. Drafts may be prepared with the help of AI writing tools, and every guide is checked and edited before publication. Where steps depend on a specific product, we link to the official Microsoft, Apple or manufacturer support page rather than guessing. Our Editorial Policy explains the process in full.
How the site is funded
The site does not currently display advertising, use affiliate links or accept payment from manufacturers or repair businesses. We may promote the site through online advertising so more people can find the guides. If we ever add advertising or commercial relationships to the site itself, we will label them clearly and update this page.
